| Not | A series of 20 silver prints from black and white photographs (some of them printed in brown-sepia shades) depicting the Hebrew University compound on Mount Scopus, Jerusalem. According to the stamps on the back of the photographs, they were made by photographer Helmer Larsky with the assistance of his wife, Anneliese Lerski, apparently near immigrating to Israel in 1931. The dating of the photographs was done, among other things, based on the appearance of the National Library building ("Wolfson Building") which was not yet opened to the general public when it was photographed. On the back of some of the photographs was Larsky's stamp, which indicates his address in Berlin, which was deleted alongside another stamp containing his new address in Tel Aviv. Most of the photographs were numbered in pencil, on their backs, and their description and comment were added to the article about the Hebrew University of Jerusalem ("Die Hebräische Universität Jerusalem"). Apparently, Larsky did this work for one of the most illustrated Jewish journals in Europe. Several photographs in the series are in double copies.; The photographs in the album:; 1. The manuscript of relativity by Albert Einstein, from the Schwedron Collection at the National and University Books. |
