Not Papyrus fragment preserving a loan of corn, written at Oxyrhynchus on 25 November 103 AD. 'Diogenes also called Sarapion son of Sarapion son of Diogenes, his mother being Didyma daughter of Euphranor, of Oxyrhynchus, Persian of the epigone, to Ammonius son of Sarapion son of Ammonius, of the same city, greeting. I acknowledge that I have and have been paid by you the capital sum of a hundred and seventy artabas of wheat = wheat art. a hundred and seventy, which I will pay on your behalf to the public granary and will deliver this to you on deposit clear of all expenses in the month of Pauni of the present seventh year of Trajanus Caesar the lord without any delay; and if I do not I will pay it with the addition of half the amount, the right of execution lying with you against me and against all my property as if by a legal decision, without prejudice to you in the execution for my debts to your deceased brother Pausanias. The deed written by the hand of me Diogenes also called Sarapion is valid wherever it is produced and to whomsoever may produce it.
