The author, Lasan al-auteur oloûnî, or, after Hadji Khalfa, Lasan ibn Losaïn ibn Aș mad, was born in 832 of the helm (1428-1429 by J. C.). Hadji Khalfa says that the book stops in the year 909; but it is seen by our example that an anonymous man continued until the year 982 of the helm, whereas the Ottoman pasha, Khalazrat Masîș, was in charge of the government of Egypt. Following this book, a seemingly truncated copy of Schâh IsmaA îl’s dispatch to Sultan Al-Ghaurî is written with the same hand. The front cover shows a prayer which must be recited after reading the ninety-fourth deaf of the Koran. At the end of the volume are some medical recipes. |
