| Not | Kounh el-akhbar; Completed during the years 1006 and 1007 (1597-1599); the author, in 976 (1568-1569) [folio 21 verso], was secretary of the Chancery of Moustafa Pasha. Haği Khalifa has rightly said in his Bibliographical Dictionary that this is a work mixed with lean and fat, dry and wet, which prevents us from finding interesting details. This volume contains only part of the fourth volume; it begins with a chapter on the famous archers of the Ottoman Empire, from the reign of Sultan Mohammed II to that of Sultan Soleïman I, who ascended the throne in 926, after which comes the history of the reigns of Sultan Selim II and Sultan Mourad III until 988 of the hegira; the last slip of the manuscript was remade.; Kounh el-akhbar |
