'...has leased to you for the present 11th indiction, for the harvest of the 12th indiction the eighth part of an estate on condition that you are responsible for the sowing, the harvesting by means of your own beasts, and the threshing and ... and shall appropriate the remaining crop and pay in rent thirty one and a quarter gold solidi and thirty one and a quarter artabas of barley, total 31-1/4 gold solidi by the Alexandrian scale, 31-1/4 (artabas) of barley. Written on Thoth 26th of the 11th indiction, for the harvest of the 12th indiction. (2nd h.) The public authorities acting through me, Obryzes, have made this lease for thirty one and a quarter gold solidi by the Alexandrian scale and thirty one and a quarter artabas of barley, as specified.' |
