| Not | Wooden writing tablet made in Egypt, dated between the 4th and 6th century AD. Three holes on one side for attaching to another tablet. An additional six holes were added at a later date to attach the two broken pieces together with thread. Unwaxed hollowed front preserves five columns of 'intermediate' Greek multiplication tables written with black ink. Leather residue on the back. |
