Hadji Khalfa, without having seen the book, attributes it to Aș mad ibn Moji ammad al-Maïdânî. The author states in his preface that he dedicates his work to a very high figure in the civil administration (العمي“الاعLL” ة المĕال“”“”“”“”“”l-Barakât LAlî ibn Ma' soûd ibn Ismaîl.
