The word begins with a treaty on the merits and the practice of the Holy War (jihran), in twelve chapters. Then there are several chapters on the bow, on the spear and on how to use it. The author draws his information from the Kitâb al-Bonoûd “Treaty of maneuvers with the lance” by Nadjm al-Dîn, and gives the description of the seventy-two of these exercises. Further on, he talks about horse exercises, the instruction of infantrymen, the way to cut and pass rivers, the singular fight (مبارș) and the various practices and uses of war.; Numérisation effectuée à partir d'un document de substitution. |
